NEW PASSPORT FEES IN EFFECT ON JULY 13, 2010
 
The U.S. Department of State has revised its fees for Passports and these changes will take effect on July 13, 2010.
The revised fees will cover actual operating expenses of the U.S. Department of State for the 301 overseas consular posts, 23 domestic passport agencies and other centers that provide these consular services to U.S. and foreign citizens.

How to Apply for a U.S. Passport Book AND/OR U.S. Passport Card: Form DS-11
 
  1. Proof of U.S. Citizenship
    State Certified Birth Certificate, Naturalization Certificate or expired U.S. Passport
     
  2. Proof of Identity
    Valid Driver's License
     
  3. Photographs
    Two (2) recent identical passport photos (2" x 2") in color
     
  4. Fees (Effective July 13, 2010)
    • Passport Book - 16 years of age & over - $110.00 (10-year passport)
      Passport Card - 16 years of age & over - $30.00 (10-year card)               Check or money order payable to: "U.S. Department of State"
      Plus $25.00 execution fee.  Cash or check payable to: "Prothonotary"
       
    • Passport Book - 15 years of age & under - $80.00 (5-year passport)
      Passport Card - 15 years of age & under - $15.00 (5-year card)                 Check or money order payable to: "U.S. Department of State"
      Plus $25.00 execution fee.  Cash or check payable to: "Prothonotary"
   
  •    U.S. Passport Books are Valid for travel by air, sea or land.
  •    U.S. Passport Cards are not for travel by air.  They are valid for land and sea crossings between the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean ONLY.
  • U.S. Passport applications for children under age 16 require two parents' consent
     
  • All applicants must appear in person, regardless of age
     
  • The processing time varies depending on the workload of the U.S. Passport Agency.  You may request expedited service at an additional fee of $60.00 + $14.96 Overnight Delivery Return Service Fee.

8:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
